Admission Request

Applicants seeking admission to Sahand University of Technology can send the required documents for review to the email address intl.student@sut.ac.ir. The documents received by the university will be reviewed, and the results will be communicated to the applicants. The admission process will be conducted according to the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Science.

Admission requirements for Bachelor programms

  • Copy of passport, diploma certificate, and high school transcripts along with their Persian translation, which must be certified by the embassy.
  • Completed registration form.
  • The accepted diploma GPA is 10 out of 20.
  • Result of the Persian language proficiency test or a certificate of participation in Persian language courses at one of the institutions approved by the Ministry of Science.

Admission requirements for Master programms

  • Required documents: Copy of passport, original bachelor’s degree certificate and transcripts along with their Persian translation, which must be certified by the embassy.
  • Completed registration form.
  • A GPA higher than 12 (out of 20) at the bachelor’s level.
  • Scholarship letter (if available).
  • Result of the Persian language proficiency test or a certificate of participation in Persian language courses at one of the institutions approved by the Ministry of Science.

Admission requirements for PhD programms

(Studies in this program will be either educational-research or research-based.)

  • Required documents: Copy of passport, original master’s degree certificate and transcripts along with their Persian translation, which must be certified by the embassy.
  • Recommendation letters from two professors from the master’s program.
  • Completed registration form.
  • A GPA higher than 14 (out of 20) at the master’s level.
  • Scholarship letter (if available).
  • Abstract of the master’s thesis.
  • Result of the Persian language proficiency test or a certificate of participation in Persian language courses at one of the institutions approved by the Ministry of Science.

Final acceptance is contingent upon an interview conducted by the relevant faculty/department.

Admission is possible in all fields and specializations offered at the university with available capacity.

Note: After enrolling, all regulations and rules related to students in terms of education and higher studies will be the same as for domestic students.

Important Note: Applicants at all levels must register on the website of the Student Affairs Organization (saorg), in the portal for international students, and obtain their tracking code to provide to Sahand University of Technology upon submitting their application.

Tuition Fees for International Students at Sahand University of Technology, Tabriz:

  • Tuition fees shall be paid at the beginning of each academic year.
  • If additional courses are required as determined by the relevant faculty, the cost will be added to the above amount.
  • In case of an increase in the number of academic semesters (beyond eight semesters for undergraduate, four semesters for master’s, and eight semesters for PhD), the tuition fee for the additional semesters will be calculated separately based on the below table.
