Seyed Alireza Tabatabaei-Nejad, speaking at the 25th International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition, told Shana News Agency:
"This figure represents our minimum forecast for increasing the recovery factor of the Soroush oil field, and we hope the increase will exceed these numbers."
He further stated:
"The technological development study of the Soroush field will enter the pilot phase within the next year. Investigations and tests are ongoing, but polymer injection is likely to be the final and preferred option for enhanced oil recovery in this field."
The university professor also mentioned that, in order to advance the technological development plan for the Soroush field, numerous online meetings are regularly held between Sahand University, its foreign partner, and the Iranian Offshore Oil Company, expressing appreciation for the company's support and cooperation.
