Strain and stress waves move at very high speeds across solid continua (generally, for metals, it is more than 4000 (m/s)!) and if you are determined to capture the time history of this elusive parameters in your dynamic tests you need robust and reliable strain gauges as well as a high sampling rate data logger. DBM implements a four channel up to one million per second sampling rate (1 MHz for each channel) data logger which is currently under service in Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar apparatus of the lab. The versatility of the data logger allows it to be practical in different high rate events such as impact and blast loading on structures. DBM is proud to announce that this elaborated device is designed and manufactured in the lab.
